The supplies you really need
You don't need expensive kit — four things are enough to start.

What you need
- 300 gsm watercolour paper (the most important item)
- 6–12 watercolours
- Round brushes, size 6 and size 2
- Two water jars and a cloth
If you only upgrade one thing, make it the paper. Thin paper buckles and absorbs unevenly — and makes you think you're the problem.
